Most reseating isn't planned weeks ahead — it's "these two need to be apart after what happened at lunch" or "she needs a seat near the front, her IEP says so" on the same afternoon you have to hand out a new chart. Add the rule, click Generate, and the solver either finds a layout that works or tells you exactly which rule is causing the conflict — you're not stuck redoing the whole thing by trial and error between periods.
